My Story
As I used to be a union electrician. Feels like another life and it wasn’t where I was supposed to be anyway.
Then I met a third-generation beekeeper and everything changed. After years of hearing about bees every single day, I finally went out to the bee yard. It's a full sensory experience. The weight of the boxes and frames, the smell of the hive, the sound of tens of thousands of bees all doing exactly what they're supposed to be doing. Something grounded in me that day and my true path unfolded.
I started selling honey at farmers markets in December 2019. A year later I stumbled into this storefront on Elm Street in Ludlow. With no plan and no idea what I was doing. Two months after that I found out I was pregnant with Eli, who is now five and now he’s another dimension of the shop experience.
I am the passionate owner of Beelicious Honey Shop, a small business dedicated to delivering the finest local honey to my community. With a deep-rooted love of nature and a commitment to sustainability, I source my honey from small farms and family-owned apiaries, ensuring every jar is filled with the purest, most delicious honey possible.
Beyond honey, I am an advocate for small businesses, small farms, permaculture and sustainable living. I believe in the power of community and collaboration and actively support local entrepreneurs and farmers. My shop isn't just a place to buy honey. It's a celebration of life, passion, and the remarkable people who make it all possible.
My mission is simple: to provide products that are natural and wholesome, created with love by people who are as dedicated to their craft as I am to mine. One jar of honey at a time.
The Shop
218 Elm Street used to be a bank. The Ludlow Savings and Loan, built in the late 1800s, right in the heart of this little Kentucky river town. The vault is still here — and what lives inside it now is a whole other story.
Walking into Beelicious feels different than walking into a store. People have described it as stepping into their mom's closet. Warm, full of things that smell good, like someone actually lives here and wants you to stay awhile. My friend Nikita calls it church. I think she's right.
Beyond the raw honey and beeswax candles you'll find an entire community living inside these walls. Local makers doing beautiful, intentional work: skincare, leather goods, handmade tea, laundry butter, art, vintage clothing, home goods. Every maker we carry is someone we believe in.
And then there's the vault. Painted floor to ceiling with a space portal mural, a mirror in the back that makes it go infinite, a birthday book that somehow always knows what to say, and a little piano that kids wander over and just start playing. Our tarot reader sits in there when she visits. It is unlike anything you have ever walked into.
Conversations start about honey in here and end somewhere completely unexpected. Strangers become regulars. Regulars become family. And Eli, who came into the world two months after I stumbled into this building with no plan, now runs through these aisles like he built the place.
